The park was not laid out as well as expected and some alleys and walkways were very narrow causing bottlenecks. Glad we got there at the beginning, I would hate to see how long it took to get through the lines at peak time. That took 1/2 an hour to park, get tickets then through the lines. The we had to wait in another line to pay for the tickets, then we had to wait in another line for my purse to get inspected and then a metal detector.

The attendants were unorganized and tried to double collect from some cars and others got missed. It took 15 min just to wait, single file cars into the parking lot to park. We entered the parking lot as the gates opened. I was not impressed with the start of the experience. If you're looking for a religious experience, you can definitely find it at The Holy Land Experience. With anything, it is what you make of it. There's also activities to do with your family, dining, and fun shopping too! There's lots more to see and some great photo ops! I have over 50 photos spread across two posts on my website at. The artifacts inside are amazing and I feel very blessed to be able to see such pieces of history. The Scriptorium is something to be savored. The fact that we'd moved to a completely different environment to see what happened next really helped it come to life. Using the guide provided by the park, we then went to another theater which "followed" here to her home where she told others what had happened. In the main theater we encountered the story of Jesus saving the woman from being stoned.

Imagine if Disney created a Bible park and the detail that would be put into it. While it isn't completely "authentic" (you can't have animals roaming the streets for example), you still get a wonderful feel for the biblical era Holy Land.

We traveled here in 2019 and I was awestruck by the place.
